It’s really easy:

• Just pick a piece from the shelf. We have got loads to choose from. The price will be written on the item felt tip (don’t worry this comes off in the kiln) and this is the total price you pay, which includes the item itself, studio fees, hand glazing and time in the kiln.
• Take it back to your table, and one of our knowledgeable staff members will talk to you about your design and give you some tips on how to bring your design to live.
• Everything you will need is on your table along with a numbered glazed colour menu pot to help you see what the paint looks like after its been hand glazed and fired.
• Can’t think what you’d like to paint? Don’t worry we have lots of inspiration on our Instagram @spottypots and TikTok @spottypotsofstudley. There’s also plenty of completed items around the shop for you to view. Don’t forget to order a delicious drink and snack from the café to keep you going.
• Once you are happy with your piece, we will take it away and finish off the process for you.
• Come back when it’s ready and pick up your beautifully shiny piece of pottery ready to be someone’s individual gift or have pride of place in your home.

We have 100s of items for you to paint and our stock changes all of the time depending on seasons and availability, so it would be impossible for us to maintain a price list.

We can, however,  give you a rough guide. Our plates and mugs start at £20 for a small child size mug or side plate. Most adult sized themed mugs are around £25. Large dinner plates are around £40 and we have vases and plant pots between £25 and £60.

The price on each item is written on in felt tip, which disappears in the kiln, and that price includes 2 hours at your table, unlimited underglaze, its then hand dipped in clear glaze and fired in our on site kilns for just over a day. 

Clay and plaster prints cost a little more but our experts will help you to get the best prints at no extra cost.

So say for just £20, you get to personalise a side plate and then take home a shiny unique piece of pottery after 2 hours of fun!

What a bargain!

You will have access to your table for 2 hours which is normally plenty of time to complete your piece and squeeze in a coffee!

If you need a little bit longer we can let you stay for an extra hour for a studio fee of £5 per person painting.

If you would like to take it home to paint at your leisure, we can provide you with some extra paint and you can return it to us for glazing. No extra charge!

You can buy vouchers in two ways. 

Call into our shop to pick up a cute hand painted tile that has the amount painted onto it. This can be brought back in and redeemed against anything that we sell, including pottery, items at the till, adult event tickets and even coffee and a cake!

Or you can call us on 01527 852870 to pay for your e-voucher which can emailed directly for you to forward on to the lucky person it is being bought for. Again, these can be used against all items in store.

We have limited parking at the rear of the shop, accessed via the side of the building.

On busier days our car park does get quite full. Our nearest free car park is located on Pool Road, B80 7QT, and is only a few minutes walk away.

Accessibility is really important to us and yes we do have dedicated disabled parking and an extra wide door to our rear painting room which is very close to the car park.  

We have ramped access to our Cabin party room, as well as an accessible bathroom.

Our staff are very skilled with supporting painters of all abilities and, particularly with any additional learning needs, so please let us know what adaptations you might need when you book with us.

Yes we do, plus lots of high chairs, bumbos and room for buggies! Just let us know when booking and we will do our best to accommodate.

Yes we do! The first Friday of each month is our late opening session. Catch up with friends over a glass of something fizzy or try one of our delicious hot drinks. We are licenced to sell a range of pre mixed cocktails, wines and beers, plus you can order additional full bottles of prosecco for your group.

For just £10 per ticket you get a glass of prosecco and nibbles on your table. We also often run special charity night where a portion of each ticket price is donated to a worthy cause.

You can request a cancellation for a ‘Pottery Painting Session’ in your my account area. If you have booked a ‘Private Party Event’ or ‘Private Corporate Event’  please contact us.

• Special ticketed events are non-refundable and not transferable.
• Large table bookings can be rearranged to a future date providing notice is received at least 24 hours of the booking.
• Private event bookings such as parties, must pay the room hire fee to reserve the date required. This deposit is non-refundable, but if you need to rearrange the booking we would need at least 24 hours’ notice to do this without you losing your deposit.

Yes. We have oat milk for hot drinks, milkshakes, chai lattes and iced lattes plus a range of vegan and gluten free tasty treats on offer.

Our range changes regularly but we will always try to have a vegan or gluten free alternative when possible.

Paint at home kits are perfect gifts for young and old.

We can put together a tailor made paint at home kit with an appropriate item that has paints and instructions. 

For larger groups you can pay £50 refundable deposit on a large box with everything you would need for a session for up to 20 people, including all paint colours, brushes, palettes, sponges, instructions, felt pens and colour charts.

Bring the box back with your pottery so it can be glazed and you will receive your £50 back, so that you only pay for the pottery pieces that you have painted.
