Your use of this web site and any dispute arising out of such use of the web site
is subject to the laws of England and Wales.
Shipping and Returns
Shipping - We aim to post out pottery painting kits and fingerprint impression kits
within 48 hours of receiving your order. Items purchased ‘as is’ from our shop will
be dispatched within 48 hours of receiving your order. Once we have received fingerprint
impressions back into the studio we aim to make and dispatch your item within 14-21
days - usually sooner but we do reserve the right to extend this to 28 days especially
during busier periods such as Christmas, Mother's Day and Father's Day. We aim to
glaze, fire and return pottery within 7-14 days, but reserve the right to extend
up to 28 days as above.
Some items are handmade to order, if you need the items by a certain date, please
check that we can fulfil in time before ordering.
All finished items for UK delivery will be sent by 'Royal Mail Special Delivery'
service. The is an insured service and a signature will be required upon delivery.
All items for delivery outside of the UK will be sent by 'Royal Mail International
Signed For' service. A signature will be required upon delivery.
Postage charges vary and will be confirmed with the order. We will always contact
you should an item be Out of Stock. In this instance you will always be given the
option of placing the item on back order, choosing an alternative or we will refund
your transaction.
Spotty Pots cannot despatch orders to PO Boxes. We request all of our customers to
have registered addresses. Spotty Pots reserves the right to decline any orders that
do not meet their credit card billing criteria.
Your Right To Cancel - You may normally cancel your order (once accepted by us) :-
prior to the dispatch of any fingerprint impression kit or pottery painting kit,
or prior to the commencement of work on commissioned pottery. If you do cancel the
contract within this time any payments made by you will be refunded in full within
30 days. Once a fingerprint impression kit or pottery painting kit has been dispatched,
a cancellation charge of £10 will apply. If you have returned the fingerprint impression
kit, and we are already working on your jewellery, we regret that the order cannot
be cancelled. In this instance, please follow the guidelines for Returns / Refunds.
Once we have commenced work on a pottery commission the order cannot be cancelled.
Late/Non Arrival of Delivery - If your delivery is late or doesn't arrive within
the quoted delivery timescale please contact us. In the event of a non-delivery
we can only allow a replacement / refund after 20 working days has passed. This is
the time scale for the Royal Mail to classify a parcel as lost.
Returns & Refunds - We always hope you will be truly pleased with your purchases
from Spotty Pots. We can not accept returns on Bespoke / Made To Order / Special
/ Personalised orders. An exception to this would be if we have not supplied the
item as ordered - please make sure you have ordered correctly before contacting us.
We cannot be held responsible for customers not following instructions correctly
when taking impressions, not checking orders or misspelling personalised orders for
jewellery or pottery. If we have made a mistake on your order, please contact us
within 7 days of receipt for instructions for returning the item(s). Please check
your delivery carefully when you receive it and contact us within 7 days if it is
delivered faulty or damaged. All commissioned jewellery and pottery is unique and
individual and, as is the character of the jewellery and both the pottery and any
painting applied, will be subject to acceptable variations in consistency and finish,
including texture and colours and artistic interpretation.
Retention of Title - The title to all goods remains with Spotty Pots until fully
paid for and received by the customer.
Your statutory rights remain intact at all times. In the unlikely event of a return
please contact us and we will give you return address details. Once we have approved
your return request, you will be asked to return the item by insured delivery. We
are not responsible for any items lost / damaged in transit to us. We suggest you
use a ‘Signed For’ service. In the event of a faulty item needing to be returned,
your shipping costs will be refunded.
Distance Selling - By law, customers in the European Union have the right to withdraw
from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date
the item is delivered. This applies to all of products except bespoke artwork, personalised
and made to order items. To cancel your purchase within the seven-working-day cooling-off
period, please contact us then package the relevant item(s) securely and send it
to the address given to you, so that we receive it within seven working days of the
day after the date that the item was delivered to you. We suggest you use a ‘Signed
For’ service, with sufficient insurance to cover your the value of your item(s).
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to
us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.
You should be aware that once we begin the delivery process you will not be able
to cancel any contract you have with us for additional services carried out by us
(e.g. bespoke artwork). As soon as we receive notice of your order cancellation,
we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with
the item's normal postage charge. We cannot refund any priority, express or courier
component of the postage charge.
