Using the supplied paints, it is then simply a case of painting, sponging, stamping, writing, tracing or indeed using any other way you may find to put the paint onto the bisque. Of special interest is the opportunity to take hand and footprints from young children, which provides a very special memento of the younger days.

The process of pottery painting starts with a plain ‘bisque’, a piece of ready to paint pottery, of which there is an almost endless choice from plates, mugs and bowls to animals, trinket boxes, money boxes and much more.

When making a Spotty Pots booking, bisque can be chosen appropriate to the occasion.

The painted bisque is taken to the Spotty Pots workshop where it is dipped or painted in a high quality glaze. It is allowed to dry and then continue  it’s journey into the kiln.

...finally the finished pieces are returned and all the participants can wonder at the magnificent quality of the pottery they have created.
